Who say's V6 F-body's are slow?
Welcome to the home of Project: Helix. This site is a reference for all of you V6 owners out there who want to blow those arrogant V8 owners off the road, as well as making your ride look good doing it. There will be many modifications to this car, including the Powerdyne supercharger with a 9lb. pulley and custom intercooler, headers and exhaust, and much more. There will also be modifications to the exterior of the vehicle, including Lemans style non-popup headlights, Lambo Doors, and a body kit. The interior is one of the last things I will be working on, but it's on the list. If Helix is ever finished, it will be ready for the drag strip or the showroom.
What has been done so far...
At the moment, Helix is not exactly the fastest ride on the block. I bought this car in March of 2004 without much ambition to make this car any faster than it already was. I added a 1200 watt stereo system, purchased a SLP cold air intake, and a Jet Stage II chip and left it at that. Then, 6 months later I started working for the government making a decent chunk of money. I soon got the itch to make my car as fast as possible while keeping it street drivable at the same time. I also wanted to stand out from the rest of the birds by adding rims and a body kit. For now I have 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 Corvette Z06 rims installed, as well as drilled/slotted rotors and painted my calipers red. A Trans-Am rear bumper cover and 3" Borla exhaust are also installed.

10/14/04: Created this web page, received Pace setter headers, Front air dam, and side skirts in the mail
11/08/04: Taken the next step and ordered a Borla catback exhaust, WS9 hood and trans am rear hatch
11/12/04: Installed 3" Borla exhaust and high-flow cat. Can't find a place around here to install headers GRRR!
